The new year...

O my, what a time we had here over the New Years holiday. Ok, not really. Our holiday was actually pretty uneventful. Especially since our little boy didn't decide to make an early appearance as we had hoped :(

Oh well. The weekend was actually pretty enjoyable. It was fairly low key and we just got to hang out mainly. We went out New Years Eve for some supper at Red Robin. Then we went over to the Stiver's house to see Chase's girlfriend and family for a few minutes. Then it was off to the Lautenbach house to watch a movie with the family and the dog.

Saturday morning wasn't the best as Katie was sick most of the day. It was nice to get to sit around and just get rested back up a little before the boy comes. I'm pretty sure Katie is ready for her baby to be here and to be able to love on him, so whenever he wants to come is fine with us.

Sunday we went and worshipped in the house of the Lord and then went out for a little pizza lunch at Sam & Louie's in Elkhorn with friends from church and our pastors family. Always fun to get together with other believers of Christ and just hang out. Then for the first part of the afternoon we went out with Mom and Dad Lautenbach and looked at a few floor plans for houses, then did a little shopping to help us get a little closer to "completing" the boys room. Our evening was spent getting his clothes washed and some shelves hung up in his room. Pictures will be loaded here shortly, his room is coming together nicely and I think his mom and grandma Lautenbach have done a pretty good job getting it ready for his arrival.

That's all for now, we'll keep you posted on our sons progress. We're hoping he decides to come sooner then later, but also realize that it'll be according to God's timing and as long as he's happy and healty we'll be fine either way.
